Bengaluru, May 15, 2025 – Swiggy, a big food delivery app in India, has now started delivering alcohol in some parts of Bengaluru. This is a test service, which means they are trying it first in a few areas before they start everywhere.
This new service is happening because the Karnataka government is thinking about allowing alcohol delivery at home — especially for drinks like beer, wine, and other low-alcohol drinks.
Swiggy has started this service in these areas of Bengaluru:
Electronic City:
● Drops Spirits – 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM
● SLR Spirits – 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM
● My Spiritz My MRP – 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
● SVR Spirit Zone MRP Bar – 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM
● Spirit Zone MRP Outlet – 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM
BTM Layout:
● Sadghuru Gas – 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM
● Chowdeshwari Wines – 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM
These shops have many types of alcohol for different customers.
To order, users can open the Swiggy app, go to the ‘Wine Shops’ section, and choose the drinks they want.
Swiggy will deliver at home, just like food. You can track the order live and pay online.
Yes. Swiggy is following rules:
● They check your age before delivery. You must be above 21 years.
● They follow local laws for delivery timing and dry days.
● They keep a record of orders to stay legal.
This service makes it easy for people to buy alcohol without going outside. It is safe, fast, and can help stop crowds in wine shops. Experts say this can be good for the alcohol market and may come to other cities soon.
If this test is successful, alcohol delivery may become common in many cities across India.
